Editorial Code of Conduct

The Trial Attorneys holds itself to the following standards of editorial conduct. These principles guide every decision we make as a publication.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently and without influence from advertisers, law firms, sponsors, or any external party. We do not accept payment, gifts, or any form of compensation in exchange for coverage.

Accuracy

We are committed to getting the facts right. Before publishing, we verify claims against primary sources including court records, official filings, and public documents. When we are wrong, we correct the record promptly and transparently.

Fairness

We cover legal proceedings and their participants fairly, regardless of the outcome of a case or the identity of the parties involved. We do not editorialize about the guilt or innocence of individuals in ongoing proceedings.

Transparency

We disclose when content has been assisted by AI tools and reviewed by human editors. We disclose our referral relationship with attorneys clearly. We do not pursue hidden agendas.

Conflicts of Interest

Contributors and staff are required to disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could create a conflict of interest with their coverage. Editors will reassign coverage where a conflict exists.

Source Protection

We protect the confidentiality of sources who provide information on the condition of anonymity. We do not reveal source identities without explicit permission.

Accountability

We hold ourselves to the same standards we apply to the institutions and individuals we cover. We welcome feedback, corrections, and criticism from our readers.
