The Trial Attorneys is committed to accuracy. When we make errors, we correct them promptly, transparently, and without attempting to obscure the original mistake.
How We Handle Corrections
When a factual error is identified in a published article, we will:
- Correct the error as quickly as possible
- Add a correction notice at the top or bottom of the affected article clearly stating what was corrected and when
- Update the article’s modification date to reflect the change
- Retain the original incorrect text in the correction notice where appropriate so readers understand what changed
We do not silently edit published articles to correct errors without disclosure.
Types of Corrections
Minor corrections (spelling, grammar, formatting) may be corrected without a formal correction notice.
Substantive corrections (factual errors, misattributed quotes, incorrect case outcomes, wrong figures) will always receive a visible correction notice.
Retractions
In rare cases where an article cannot be corrected and must be retracted, we will replace the article content with a retraction notice explaining why the article was removed.
How to Report an Error
If you believe we have published an error, please contact us at editorial@thetrialattorneys.com with the subject line “Correction Request.” Include the article URL, the specific error, and any supporting documentation. We review all correction requests and respond within 2 business days.
Legal Matters
Correction requests related to pending litigation or legal disputes will be reviewed by our editorial team in consultation with legal counsel before any changes are made.
